Many of the organochlorine contaminant have ubiquitous worldwide distributions. organochlorine contaminants are generally introduced to our environment as pesticides through agricultural application. the most common groups of organochlorine herbicides used are 2,4-D. the aim of the experiment was to isolate 2,4-D degrading bacteria that posses a high degradative activity, to study the growth kinetic and characterization of isolate.
