Morphine is one of narcotic which is supposed as teratogenic agent. the aims of this research was performed to examine the effect of morphine on growth tibia epiphyseal cartilage of fetus. Thirthy pregnant mice where divided randomly into five groups with six replications. morphine was dissolved in aquabidestilata and adminitrated intramuscular injection on sixth to fifteenth days of gestation. the treatment dosage were 0,02 ; 0,05 and 0,13 mg/20 g body weight, and remaining animals were use as control group and placebo group. at eigtheenth day of gestation, the the pregnant mice were sacrificed and caesarean sectioned to remove the fetuses.
