the main aim of the reserach is to take inventory 12 samples of banjarese traditional houses in sungai jingah area in banjarmasin comprehensively, especially in the field of architecture. nevertheless in the end of the reserach is analysed the accordance of 12 samples to the typology forwarded by saleh (1983) and Seman (1982), but the analyze is not to be done deeply. The method used to define 12 samples is based on some criteria that have been set. the inventory is done to the aspect of building history, and acrhitectural aspect of building (paln, elevation, section, structure, and ornament) the suitability analyze is conducted by comparing : plan form, room type, and order, the form of building and roof. there are some of the samples that is not included to one of the typology forwarded by Saleh (1983) and Seman (1982)
