The main objectives of this study are to test the neutrality afefcts of deficit financing to economic growth and consumption. The research design used simultaneous equation modeling (waluyo, 2005). Behavioral equation was estimated by two stage least squares (TSLS). This study uses secondary data of the indonesian conomy over the period 1970 -2003. THe econometric test resulted in BLUE estimators. To terst the ricardian equivalence hypothesis on the indonesian economy the following these are posed : - first : an increase in government debt will lead to decreased private consumption and an increase in saving as anticipation of increased taxes at the next period (neutral to private wealth) - second : government debt to increase economic growth.
