In every controversy there is drama and irony. In the stem cell scuffle, after a brief lull, drama and irony have returned to the US capitol hill to be precise. In recent weeks, the original cast of stem cell backers and opponents was joined by 21 children called snowflake babies, so named because they were adopted as embryos from fertility clinics.
