Dobner von Miller reaction of 3,4,5 trimethoxyaniline with acrolein was explored in order to afford new quinoline. Acrolein was prepared by heating glicerol potassium hydrogen sulfate and potassiuum sulfate at 215 - 230 celcius degree for three hours in 15% yield. Reaction of 3,4,5 - trimethoxyaniline with acrolein gave six products three of them have been purified and identified as 5,6,7 - trimetoxyquinoline (27%), 5,6,7 - trimethoxy, 1,2,3,4 - tetrahydroquinoline (43%) and 8,9,10 - trimetoxy - 2,3,6,7, - tetrahydro, 1H , 5H - pyrido [3,2,1 - ii] quinoline (30%).
