Isi artikelThis is an attempt to elucidate the reasons why many people in the contemporary Japanese society are reluctant to have relations with others from a cultural viewpoint. Since Japanese culture is contextural ro relational, that the people cannot have relationship with others is natural result if much culture breaks down. And actually the cultural breakdown was brought about by the impact of globalization of capitalism. The contemporary Japanese society is faced with the problem how to construct the new culture that revive the people who suffer from the social 'disease' of no relationship with the others.
