PT. Wiraswasta Gemilang indonesia (PT. WGI) is the privately owned lubricant manufacturer company. This company produces Pennzoil, Evalube, and Best Star Oils. PT. WGI has more than one suppliers to anticipate the lack of materials when they flooded with orders, the wrong selection and evaluation for supplier's performance has negative influence for the company. To evaluate the supplier's performance, that company used audit supplier questioner. It was done by purchasing, QC and PPIC Dividions. This assessment system is not capable because it as done subjectively. The cost of quality also was not calculated by them. As according to PT WGI's motto "Quality is Our Business", the cost of quality is needed to assess supplier's performance. Based on that fact, it has a new measuring instyrument as repair proposal ct of quality. The matrix which include prevention cost, appraisal cost, internal failure cost, external failure cost and consequential cost of failure is the precise instrument to asses supplier's performance. The dta of cost quality was taken by collect all data that relatd to cost of quality of the year 2005 and also interviewed Purchasing, QC, production Process Divisions. The matrix cost of wuality will show supplier's performance index. Based on that index, the supplier's performance more measured. The result of supplier's performance by audit supplier questioner, the result of the matrix cost production and the merger of this two systems is expected will become a better system to assess objectively.
