Effect of Y-irradiation on the conductivity of (KI) 0.5 (B-Al2O3) 0.5 composite material. The solid state electrolyte (KI) 0.5 (B-Al2O3) 0.5 has been prepared by solid state reaction of KI with B-Al2O3 powders. The mixture was compacted with diametre of 1.5 cm and pressure of 5000 psi. The solid state electrolyt then Y-irradiated with dosis of 10 kGy, 30 kGy, and 50 kGy, respectively. Crystal structure determination is done using x-ray diffraction method. The result show that the structure of (KI) 0.5 (B-Al2O3) 0.5 is mixture structure of KI and B-Al2O3. The cnductivity measurement is done using LCR-metre at the frequence between 0.1 Hz to 100 kHz. the result show that the conductivity of (KI) 0.5 (B-Al2O3) 0.5 after irradiation is stable for 10 and 30 kGy samples with the value of 2,43 x 10 (-3) S/cm to 3,93 x 10 (-3) S/cm and for sample irradiated at 50 kGy its conductivity decrease to the value of 6,7 x 10 (-6) S/cm until 9,58 x 10 (-6) S/cm.
