The aim of this study is to know the ipact of government budget policy on the stability of Indonesian economy during 1971 - 1989 period. The secondary data are used to estimate the Indonesian economy model. This study uses TSLS method. The results show that the government budget policy ahs positive and significant effects ont he economic growth and inflation in Indonesia. Meanwhile, tax policy has a negative and significant effect on the economic growth and inflation. In addition, the net government expenditure policy ahs positive and significant effect on the economic growth and inflation. Based on these, the government can use the expenditure as a policy tool to promote the economic growth and to control the inflation rate in Indonesia.
