Isi artikel
The author discusses the diversity in the field of intelligent systems. He argues that splintering into smaller and smaller, often competing, societies might be locally profitable, but globally, it is the kiss of death for the field and for future funding. His plea to the community is to find ways to break down the walls and start uncovering what the intelligent systems elephant is really like. We should not try to create a new community, yet another splinter, but instead attempt to bring our disparate subfields more closely together.
