Empirical model for prior austenite grain growth of HSLA-Nb steel during reheating has been investigate previously by using Sellars[1] model. The result obtained from their observation , the parameter value of the model, n, A and xtivation energi Q has been established especial for HSLA-Nb. From the established model, the diameter austenite during reheating can be predicted By using these parameter for prediction the austenite grain growth in the experiment steel (HSLA-0, 047%Nb), it is observed that the model is not in close agreement with the experimental results. From the evaluation of the model, the parameters need to be modified The parameters value of n = 8, A = 1.47 x 1021 and the activation energy Q = 400 kJ/mol appears to befit to the experimental results.
