At the time, there was an almost complete dearth of research on the topic, as attested to by the contents of oltamanns & maher's (1998) edited book delusional beliefs, which was fully of ideas but short on data. Garety & freeman are to be congratulated for their comprehensive review article, which is a kind of end of term report for a decade of effort.
