Isi artikelAISI steel 405 are mostly used as heat exchanger component. Such steel has some properties, such as : moldable, corrosion resistance, and high temperature resistance. The purpose od this research is to find out micro structure and crystal structure before and after heat treatment process with the velocity of 14 degrees Celcius per minute until it reacges 920 degress Celcius. The it is endured for 1 (one) hour and colled quickly (quenching( in the water and air cooling media. After this it is anniled at the temperature of 425 Celcius Degree, 525 Celcius Degree and 625 Celcius Degreem then endured for 3 (three) hours, 10 (ten) hours, and 24 (twenty four) hours. Morfologicak surface or micro structure of AISI steel 405 informed through speoridation or spred laminar from the matrix of ferrit fasa. The result of fasa from difraktrogram shows that there are a lot of difraction pola with the hkl space orientation. The result of microscope optic shows that the content of ferrit is still high or dominant.
