Isi artikelCompensation management literature highlights that pay systems may work effectively if they are properly designed based on internal alignment and external competitiveness variables. However pay systems design is important, its effect on job performance is not clear if perceptions of distributive justice are present in organisations. The outcomes of moderated hierarchical regression analysis showed that the inclusion of distributive justice into analysis had increased the effect of pay systems design on job performance. Specifically, these results advocated that the adequacy of non-monetary and monetary rewards have increased employees' feelings of justice and this may lead to increased job performance in the organisations. In sum, this study demonstrates that perceptions of distributive justice have fully moderated the relationship between pay systems design and job performance within the pay system model of PMOS.
