Magnetic levitation vehicles are already now in service for public transportation in the West and East, despite in their early stage. In Britain (UK), a short slow moving one has already shuttled people from Birmingham's airport to the city's railway station, Germany has a Transrapid Versuchsanlage, the TR06 with 100 seats on a track length of 31,4 km which has been built in Emsland near the Dutch border, and has already attained speed of 300 km / hr tested in 1983. In Japan a fast track for a superconductor magnetic levitation train has been built in Miyzaki prefecture through Hyuga city on the southern island of Kyushu. The track was completed in 1987 and a MLU002 carrying 44 seats has been tested to run at 420 km / hr.
