This article explores how handheld, wireless computers can be used to design and develop interactive face-to-face instruction in which formative and continuous assessment and feedback are emphasized. It provides a research based conceptual model that can assist designers and educators to integrate the use of handheld, wireless computers into instruction for the purpose of improving learning and teaching.
