Isi artikelIn this article, we present a combination of blended learning and the project method and their application in a technology-based environment as an approach for facilitating collaborative learning in a distance learning programs. While the project method addresses motivational problems, blended learning supports trust building and the forming of longer lasting high-performance teams. According to our experience, this approach addresses the above problems: It facilitates the acquisition of technology-mediated collaboration skills as well as self-organized group learning, while at the same time lowering the drop-out rate.
