Most researches have shown an increase of depression disorder in the elderly. this could be understood since various problems will occur, in the last decade of a human's life phenomenon such as a declining of social life, increasing physical illness and the lack of social autonomy, as well as the biological changes as the result of aging process in the whole body. based on WHO prediction, the illness pattern of the eldery in developing countries will change from Lower Respiratory Tract Infection into Major Depression as the first rank by the year 2002.
