This manuscript describes adolescent population and adolescent health problems, medical approach in serving adolescent, intervention programme for solving adolescent health problems wich may be differentieted into five main activities such as : 1) improve safe and supporting enviorement, 2) provide adequate information 3) developing skills 4) counselling 5) health services it is noted that in Indonesia health services for adolescent is not yet developed, the services is dominated by family planning activities and reproductive health. because of this attention to adolescent as a client of health services of the teaching hospital and teaching health facilities should be improved. it is concluded that there is a need to do specific efforts in order to improve medical education on knowledge and skills to overcome adolescent health problems.
