Isi artikelModern embryology offers a detailed knowledge concerning the beginning of human life. by now we know that the zygote already prossesses a genetic individuality of its own. but as long as the process of twinning is areal possibility, the embryo in its first stage does not yet prossess a personal individuality. authors as Norman ford are of the opinion that personal individuality is constituted since the appearance of the primitive streak. thye beginning of human life is therefore a complex event. the present author thinks that the embryo in its first stage should be given the moral status of a person., because it is a potential person and therefore differs from all other biological material. for that reason the embryo in its first stage should be already respected as a person.
