Memory is a very important part in the learning process of students even though for teachers it is preparing and transferring the lecture/speech. In the learning process, memory process is very important and memory can be formed. In the 1980s regarding the human brain, Serry found that the human brain has two parts, the right and the left hemispheres with its different functions. The cortex of the left hemisphere is connected with logic, words, lists, number, sequence, linearity, and analysis. While the right hemisphere is connected with mental functions, rhytm, imagination, daydreaming, color, dimension, spatial awareness, and complete pictures. Regarding mental literacy in the 1970s, Buzan formulated several memory techniques based on senses, association, interest and attitude compiled into 12 principles known as SMASHIN SCOPE. It consisted of Senses, Movement/motivation, Association, Sexuality, Homor, Imagination, Number, Symbolism, Color, Order, Positivity, and Exaggeration.
