There are many qualities that make asynchronous interaction useful in higher education courses. those qualities include tima and place-independence, multi-participant capacity, message storage/retrievability, and the text orientation of the medium. because participants in asynchronous communication can follow up on any message they choose in whatever fashion suits them, or add to a thread of any discussion, interactivity is only limited by the creativity of the participants.
