Current attention in the field of education seems to be firmly focused on the application of technology to teching. in particular, universities are pushing faculty toward online teaching, perhaps largely to compete with institutions that are offering various degrees and diplomas "without leaving the comfort of your home". however, the issue of online teaching raises many queations that need to be addressed.
