Isi artikelWork stress can be generated from physical and pscyhological factors. One of the aspects in psychological factors is the existance of role conflict of women. The increasing economic needs force many women work outside their houses. For married women, this matter makes them play a dual role, as career woman as well as housewife. The aim of this study is to analyse more accurately the factors triggering stress on working women, especially balinese women, who also have to take part in customary activities. Subjects (N = 47) are balinese women, ages 30 through 38 years, working eight hours in average a day in government institutions and private sectors. Data were taken with the role conflict questionnaire, which were then analysed by descriptive analysis. Results of the analysis are suggested to be considered in managing organization, demands and work environment ergonomically for balinese women who play a double role.
