A mother's health is a reflection of women's health in general, starting from conception until old age. Women has been treated unjustly and bare more risk from her reproductive system, even bigger a death risk. The high maternal mortality rate, especially in developing countries including indonesia, reveals the still poor health condition of women. Women with low education and nutrition, suffering from physical and sexual abuse would have a poor reproductive health, prone to illness and death. Empowering women with good nutrition, education, protecting from violence, getting equal female - male rights, access to health services would highly enhance women's health, resulting in decrease in maternity death. Empowered women would enhance family as wellas community's health, a huge investment toward health indonesia.
