Juvenille delinquency is an aggresive and maladaptive respons behavior as a consequence of the inability to adapt to the stimuli the face during their adolescent years. Psychopatic tendency is an indication of bad emotional intelligence. The purpose of this researach is to reveal the correlation between psychopatic tendency and emotional quotient. Subjects were (N = 77) prisoners from yogyakarta penitentiary and kutoarjo children penitentiary. The subjects were determined through a purposive sampling technique, aging between 13 - 21 years, all males. The measurement was conducted with the psychopatic tendency scale, which is a modification of the psychopathic scale, which in turn is a part of the gadjah mada personality scale, and the emotional intelligence scale, which is based on bar on's work. Meanwhile data was also obtained through interviews. results reveal a negative correlation between psychopatic tendency and emotional intelligence.
