Early cave dwellers probably did not have too much of a problem passing on their fire-making skills to their fellow cave dwellers. it is very likely that they just did a few demonstrations and then let their 'trainees' have a go. no doubt most trainees failed the first few times, and they required a bit of coaching before they got it right and could manage on their own.
