The atrocities of september 11, 2001 provide us with huge oppourtunities to learn from the past and use performance data and impact consequences for improving, not blaming. because of the conventional narrow frameworks for training, performance, and educational technology-individual and small-group competence-what happend might have been avoided, if the unit of analysis for everything organizations used, did produced, and delivered was society, not just individual performance improvement.
