Intelligence, the meaning of which, is related to analysed information, activity and institution. As a system, which is used by almost all governments in the world to monitor the external environment, has been implemented by some business enterprises or group of corporations to monitor its competitors and market conditions. As an activity, it should be carried out as a consequence of implementing and controlling the strategy formulated, resulting from analogy that business is a war of interests ,and that premises might change and strategy should be adapted. The intelligence process or intelligence cycle, that consist of steps which should be carried out starting from information collection planning, information gathering, analysing until intelligence products dissemination, is simple so that it can be used by big companies as well as small ones. Since intelligence as an activity has functions to collect informations, analyze and produce knowledge that relevant for decision making, it can be utilized as an alternative tool for strategic control.
