The H. Djuanda Forest Conservation Park is a natural secondary and manmade forest located in Cikapundung river valley between Pakar and Maribaya. The area covers 590 hectaers and the attitude varies between 770 and 1330 meters above sea level. It is 9 km from the centre of Bandung city. The Cikapundung River is the main water resource (32%) of Bandung city to fulfill clean water needs of the people living in the city. The study showed there are three communities in the conservation park namely : 1) composed of vegetation of various Kaliandra trees (I) 2) composed of vegetation of Kaliandra and Pine (II), and 3) dominated by Pine (III). The data of run off gain from savings plot was made to be 5 m2. The water run off was stored and measured every time rain fell. Based on rainfall data of north Bandung and Lembang specifically communities I - III stored 17% community II 3,94%, community III 5,59% of rainfall. Even though not comparable to natural forests, community I was more stable than community II and III.
