Enhanced General Packet Radio Service(EGPRS) is an application on Enhanced Data rates for GSM Evolution (EDGE) that is used for transfer data on packet switched mode. EGPRS channel coding used block code (for downlink only), cyclic code, conentional code, and puncture method. Transfer data on this system are controlled by selective repeat ARQ, that is used for error control. To have a global vision of EDGE, a program using Visual Basic had been made and it will describe the coding of this system.
