Isi artikelHuman beings are engaged in many different types of activity everyday. As a result of this, the body undergoes various change: physiological, psychological, cognitive, and so on. Physiological methods have been used to evaluate physical workload in a variety of jobs both in industrialized and developing countries. Physiological methods can be applied in industry to evaluate physical demands of job in terms of energy expenditure. Heart rate can be used as an index of the physiological cost of work. With the onset of physical work, heart rate starts to rise and energy demands increase. The harder a worker works, the more he needs energy (so that the heart rate became higher). If physical work is still running longer, the body can get fatique. Based on the experiment, the arise of the heart rate and energy demands in physical work can be minimized bydivided the physical work in to best cycle between work and recovery. Based on the result, it is better for a company to divide the physical work in best cycle (combination between work and recovery) so that the energy demands in a the physical work can be minimized. This can make the workers work better and minimize fatique caused by physical work.
