Humans need informations to do any actions and make any decisions. Displays provide humans with informations about the current state of the system in our environment. Displays are either visual, auditory or tactile. Visual display is used to present informations directly to human who needs, sensed by eye. Road and traffic signs probably are the most common applications of visual display. These signs functionally classify in to informations, danger and instruction signs. These road and traffic signs have been standardized accross countries (internationally). These signs are presented in verbal and symbolic forms. This paper concerning an ergonomics study about display especially road and traffic signs in Jakarta. Briefly, We can say that here we can easily find out many inergonomics aspects in those road and traffic sign so that the objectiveness of the visual display (to present information effectively in the most direct, simple, understandable and usable form possible) can not be achieved. Based on the analysis, those inergonomics aspects caused by five factors.
