The effect of compression in combustion chamber on the wear of machine element surrounding the chamber was studying using 2 stroke engine. Experiment was done for 100 hours, The engine was prepared using ASTM D4857-88 standard and the rest of experiment was done by using an 3 HP compressor as the load. It was found that fuel consumption was decrease by increasing compression. The rating merit of the machine element surrounding the chamber was decrease by increasing compression. The deposit produced in the combustion chamber was also increase by increasing compression. With the compression ratio around 11, it was found that there was a ring sticking in the first ring and the second ring almost stick too.
