Discussions on public management have long been focused on how to deliver public services enterpreneurily and innovatively. Meanwhile, the field has had less emphasis on aspect of conflict resolution. The article examines the relevance of conflict resolution perspective in contemporary Indonesia and recomends what is to be done in order to revitalize the potential of this field, which is quite imperative for the course of national development. The author argues that unless there is strong commitment on conflict resolution on the part of Indonesia's beuraucracy, conflict will be endless. The author therefore recommends that higher learning institution should not only focus on research, but also cooperate with provincial administration with a few to equip administrators on conflict resolution techniques.
