The research investigates how full time faculty members of Private Medical Schools in Jakarta generally perceive the value of their work and the relationship of their commitment to the way they perceive the characteristics of the organizational culture of their institution. It also examines the different perceptions which may exist among the groups of full time faculty members in the six Private Medical Schools regarding their institutional culture. To understand the implication of the research, the theory of the life cycles of organizations were used.
