Isi artikelThe present experiment investigated the effects of delay of feedback and type of verbal feedback on transfer with conjunctive concept formation tasks. The four conditions of delay of feedback were 0, 10, 30, and 30 s, respectively. The verbal feedback conditions were right-wrong, right-nothing, and nothing-wrong. All subjects were tested 7 days later, following initial learning, to test for transfer effects. Among the major findings was that although delay of feedback slows down the rate of initial learning it facilitates transfer after a long delay. In addition, while right wrong feedback resulted in the fastest learning of the first task, as expected, no differences were found between the types of feedback and their effects on the transfer task following a long delay.
