Social security system in Indonesia has actually existed. It is expected to bring about prosperous life for Indonesian people by means of PT. Askes, PT. Jamsostek, PT. Taspen, and PT. Asabri. However, from the perspective or participant, this social protection does not cover a great deal of Indonesian people, nor does it make available all the items that are properly needed. To overcome this problem, Indonesian government enacts the new regulation, UU no. 40 / 2004 about National Social Security System. This paper attempts to explain the implication of National Social Security System towards : 1) Community Health Security Protection System (JPKM), 2) Hospital management, and 3) Jakarta Metropolitan city as a study case.
