Isi artikelSynthesis and characterization complex compound of iron (II) with 3-6-DI-2-Piridil-1,2,4,5-Tetrazaine (DPTZ). Complex compound of iron (II) salts with 3,6-di-2-pyridyl-1,2,4,5-tetrazine (DPTz) ligand have been synthesized. The molecular formula of the complex compound has been determined by metal ion analysis, measurement of conductance of the compound, thermal gravimetric analysis, and elemental C,H,N composition analysis. Based on the analysis result, the complex compound is found as a mononuclear complex with molecular formula of [Fe(DPTz)2(H2O)2](x)2 with X = BF4(1) and ClO4(2). Both of the compound have dark blue colour with the yield of 51% and 62% for tetrafluoroborate and perchlorate compound respectively, The compound show unique magnetic properties, with magnetic moment about 2.5 BM at room temperature. After heated up to 60 Celcius Degree, both complexes shows there is good indication for observe prosperity of spin transition from this compound by means of furthermore research.
