Isi artikelAnisotropy of magnetic thin film, The anisotory property of magnetic thin film has beed discussed, the possibility of origin theoretically and also th calculating of energy and anisotropy field. Although the application of magnetic thin film as a medium data storage and the magnetic sensor has been developed, the origin of anisotropy is still not clear yet. The existence of this property is indicated by appearing the easy axis EA and hard axis HA connected with the direction of magnetization. EA and HA in the magnetic thin film can be determined directly by applying magnetic field at the different orientation, until the desired hysterisis curve is obtained. The deviation of magnetization from EA will produce a torque. Due to the thickness of thin film which is in nanometer, the measured torque is very small (nano Nm). Measuring this torque using a Magnometer, enable to calculate the magnization and the anisotropy field Hk (>3T), it is presented here several measuring methods. Measurement using Kerr-Torquemagnetometer allows to determine the local anistropy. Measurement on thin film having perpendicular anisotropy showed the local anisotropy of 3.5T. The rotational hysterisis and higher terms of anisotropy indicate a inhomogeneus magnetization as well as biaxial anisotropy having two EA, respectively.
