This article uncovers two reality paradoks that have been faced by nurses and nursuring education in Indonesia which has socially positioned nursuring profession as lower level occupation in our society, and nursing education has been static and less progress. These two realities are paradox because in that situation nurses have still been needed by our society. Data source of this research comes from the author observation when she had worked as a nurse in some hospitals in Jakarta. As solution of the problem, this article aims to develop a social based nursing education in Indonesia, particularly nursing community as a media for an integrated sosiomedic nursing curriculum in UPN "Veteran" Jakarta, in order to change society perception to nursing and nurse in future.
