New road development and its quality improvement as well as existing road maintenance are the main project activities of road improvement in Indonesia. heavy machine involvement such as buldozer, loader, mototr grader, compactor, dump truck, stone crusher, asphalt, mixing plant and asphalt finisher, aims to assist work implementation process directed to work expected results, before the start of the projects, the proper tools should be chosen to be used in work field and work targets. The new road development project's delay of work implementation of resignation of project team is due to incompatible tools used at work field and their applications. In addition, tool support provide large distribution such as work support and its equipment, spare parts and other operational support which should be sufficiently available based on type and number of tools used. Failure of new road construction in remote areas is mainly due to minimal transportation such as in Irian Jaya. This paper discussed tool applications work field of road construction and the provision of adequate supporting tools mainly in remote areas.
