Estuary sedimentation is a result of the setting of materials transported by river flow and stimulated by water level movements in the estuary front. Most of North Java estuaries suffer from sedimentation. River bed gradation on estuaries are mostly from continuous sedimentation of seas, estuaries and coasts. The aim of the study was to analyze the estuary sedimentation of delta or setuary formation. Remote sensing approach has been adopted by Landsat image interpretation in North Java. In this study 15 estuaries were investigated and 6 types of estuary have been identified. The influencing factors on estuary sedimentation were water flow, tides and waves.
