Infrastructure development is not complete witout proper drainage. This condition will cause problems in the future especially social problems. The parking area of water was formerly built to accomodate housing. However, since the rapid growth of the city, the drainage infrastructure has lagged behind causing frequent flooding areas. The social problem, which is due to this situation, must be resolved. This problem often occurs in major cities of Indonesia, which have no proper drainage system yet. Thus these cities need a master plan of drainage system. It needs this system so that ot can accomodate excess of surface runoff and distribute this water to a watercourse or artificial infiltration construction. Nowadays, this drainage network system receives industrial and domestic fluid waste. Some of this waste maynot flow in the watercourse during the dry season. In this condition, it may be a breeding ground for mosquitoes and other public health problems. The polluted surface water may infiltrate into the soil.
