The problem of women in Indonesia have become the subject of numerous discussion among the people, especially those related to the state of women in the pollitical arena and their contribution to the decision making process. Feminist have always voiced that women get equal opportunities in politics. Howecer, traditional belief in society still rejects this notion. Thus this condition has created a stereotyping of women's position in society as only taking care of the family at home. Truthfully, women must receive equal opportunity in the political arena, while maintaining their primary position within the family.
