This study selected Watubangga, Kolaka in South-East Sulawesi, since it has a large area of unadulterated land that theoretically could be used for agricultural farming developmetn. Assessment of land distribution used the method of overlaying maps that consist of land, transmitration, forest map and combining these maps to produce an on spot recovery map. This data was analyzed by a colored Land Stellite Thematic Map (LST) scaled 1 : 100.000 produced in 1996. The result of this analysis showed that the LST was able to detect 88% of unadulterated land that is approximately 14,710 hectares of potential agricultural farming land.
