The rapid change of land use such as that in bekasi region as the bufferzone of eastern DKI Jkarta can be observed through the multi temporal remote sensing satellite data. The observation result of land cover / land use change is suitable for analyzing the change of environment. The purpose of the study was to analyze the environmental change of Bekasi region using multi temporal remote sensing data. In evaluation the environmental change, the land cover classification from 1991 - 1997 multi temporal remote sensing data was applied. As the result, eight classes land cover / land use was categorized. Also recognized that the change of land cover / land use during 7 years (1991 - 1997) was between 0.25% - 32.19%. the change of land cover / land use for industry will lead to various impact, i.e : availability of land for industr and the rapid industry development (positive impact), where as negative impact is environmental degradation, i.e : pollution resulted from industry waste activity.
