The role of clove commodity in the next decade is projected to clove production in many industries, especially food, medicine and cosmetics industries, besides as the main component in cigarette industries. To anticipate the need of clove in the future, we have to optimalized crops by increasing the cultivation technology such as decreasing the attact pests that is considered as pne hindrame technology to production. In Indonesia most of the plant disease that are harmful of clove come from insects that consists of stem borer (Bothopeus Hemipterus, Nothopeus Fasciatipennis, Hexamitodera Semivelutina), branch corer and dried uo (Xyloborus Spp, Arbella sp and Coptocercus biguttatus), detroyer of leaves (Pachypeltis sp, Cocus Viridis and Attacus atlas), destroyer of roots (Mololontidae termite) and some insects that function as disease vector to clove wood artery bacteria that contain Hindola spp and Bactracomorphus cocles. The strategy to control that plants could be done by chemical biological and mechanical ways to adopt to local condition.
