Isi artikel
In Indonesia we still find the problem of lack in protein consumption. Foods containing sources of protein is more expensive than other foods containing carbohydarte, especially animal proteins, such as meat, egg and milk. Nowadays, the main problem for breeders is demand for livestock products is not equal to what they produce. While on the other hand, consumers complain that the prices of egg, meat, and milk are expensive. They often limit their consumption of protein because of their limited income. The expensive price of these products to increase as well. Animal protein for livestock is made from fish flour and it causes the price of this ration to become costly. Fly larvae, which grow and multiply in Palm oil sludge is another alternative of animal protein to substitute for fish flour. It is a cheaper protein source. it can be easily obtained and of good nutrient quality.
